Ardi is Executive Fellow and Director of the GDPR Transition Programme at Henley Business School and the founder of GO DPO®, which is the strategic partner for many multi-national clients in the area of GDPR compliance. He’s the first privacy practitioner to have guided a global company (Hitachi Consulting Corp) in achieving BS10012:2017 in the UK.
Ardi started his career as an editor for BBC Radio 4’s Today programme before working for Andersen Consulting as a senior manager. He’s recognised as one of the leading data protection practitioners in Europe and has provided advice to the Government in Scotland, the Shadow Minister for Digital Economy and Senior Civil Servants as well as trained Nationwide, HSBC, Accenture, Santander, Hitachi Consulting, Sainsbury’s, John Lewis Partnership, Marks & Spencer, Lloyds Bank, Capita Asset Services and many others on GDPR. He also has a close working relationship with the UK Information Commissioner Elizabeth Denham, is a judge for its new data protection best practice award 2018 and has reviewed the foundation and practitioner certificates in data protection and privacy for the British Computer Society (BCS) to ensure they take account of the GDPR and the forthcoming Data Protection Act 2018.
Ardi is Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Data Protection & Privacy and is a keynote speaker/chair all over the world on GDPR and for many organisations including the BBA (UK Finance) and the IAPP (Europe), HR Directors Forum, General Counsel’s Briefing (Switzerland), IT Directors Forum, HR Director’s Forum, Marketing Directors Forum in 2017, BFI Annual Conference 2017, FT Europe Cyber Security Summit 2016, 2017, Thomson Reuters Annual Data Protection Conference 2017 and many more.
Ardi is also Chairman of the Law & Marketing Committee for the Worshipful Company of Marketors, a Livery Company in the City of London that he was asked to set up by Sir Paul Judge over six years ago. On behalf of the Lord Mayor Charles Bowman and the Livery Committee he delivered a special GDPR Seminar at Goldsmiths' Hall, London attended by 101 Clerks of Livery Companies (February 2018).
His latest work – The GDPR Handbook: A Guide to Implementing the EU General Data Protection Regulation is published globally by Kogan Page in June 2018. Ardi also has written and produced a 60 Minutes GDPR Fast Track and 10 Minutes GDPR Fast Track online interactive training videos.
