Ardi is Executive Fellow and Director, GDPR Programme, Henley Business School and the founder of GO DPO®, which is the strategic partner for many multi-national clients in data protection, privacy and security. He’s the first privacy practitioner to have guided the global company Hitachi Consulting Corp (NYSE: HIT) in achieving BS10012:2017 Personal Information Management System (PIMS) in the UK.

Biography:

Ardi started his career as a Producer/Reporter for BBC network radio and TV including for BBC Radio 4’s Today Programme before working for Andersen Consulting as a senior manager. He’s recognised as one of the leading data protection practitioners in Europe and has provided advice to the Government in Scotland, the Shadow Minister for Digital Economy and Senior Civil Servants as well as trained Nationwide, HSBC, Accenture, Santander, Hitachi Consulting, Sainsbury’s, John Lewis Partnership, Marks & Spencer, Lloyds Bank, Capita Asset Services, SolarWinds MSP, HCL, CarbonBlack and many others on GDPR. He also has a close working relationship with the UK Information Commissioner Elizabeth Denham, was a judge for its new data protection best practice award 2018 and has reviewed the foundation and practitioner certificates in data protection and privacy for the British Computer Society (BCS) to ensure they take account of the GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.  

Ardi is founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Data Protection & Privacy and is a keynote speaker/chair all over the world for many organisations including the IAPP Europe Intensive 2018, SolarWinds MSP Annual Conference 2018, Institute of Directors New Zealand Annual Conference 2018 (NZ), International Corporate Health Leadership Council Meeting 2018 (Ireland), Unleash Expo & Conference 2018 (London), Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development Conference 2018 (London), Direct Marketing Institute Council 2018 (New York), Dublin DataSec 2018 (Dublin) and many more.

Ardi is also Chairman of the Law & Marketing Committee for the Worshipful Company of Marketors, a Livery Company in the City of London that he was asked to set up by former Sheriff of London Sir Paul Judge over six years ago. On behalf of the current Lord Mayor of London, Charles Bowman and the City Livery Committee, Ardi developed and delivered a special GDPR Seminar at Goldsmiths' Hall, London attended by 101 Clerks of Livery Companies in February 2018.

Ardi has written and produced 10, 20 and 60 Minutes GDPR Fast Track online interactive training videos that have been sold worldwide.
