Biography:

Caroline Hyde currently anchors 'On The Move', Bloomberg Television’s primetime market-opening show that airs at 7:30-9:00am U.K. time (8:30-10:00am CET). Alongside co-anchor Guy Johnson in London, Hyde provides breaking news and analysis of the news-driving markets and investment decisions. The show brings exclusive interviews with leading CEOs, politicians and investors and will leverage the reporting strength across Bloomberg's more than 150 news bureaus around the world as well as the research strength of Bloomberg Intelligence to provide both local knowledge and in-depth analysis and data across industries.

Hyde also serves as chief European correspondent, traveling the region to report on the most important business, economic and political issues shaping global markets across the region. Hyde joined Bloomberg in 2008 to cover the European debt markets for Bloomberg News as a corporate finance reporter, focusing on company loans and bonds as well as sovereign debt. She has covered the freeze in the European loan market following the collapse of Lehman Brothers and the unravelling of the European sovereign debt crisis, as well as breaking news on the sales and performance of government bonds from Greece ahead of its bailout.

Prior to joining Bloomberg, Hyde worked in public relations for London's Moorgate Group, where she was a debt market specialist, managing campaigns for clients including Standard & Poor's and Lloyds Banking Group. She holds an MA (Oxon) in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University.

Hyde has also provided in-depth reports on the London property sector, tech scene and shone a light on the European start-up community.
