Biography:
Nick Wharton has been Chief Executive Officer of Dunelm Group PLC Since February 2011. Mr. Wharton served as Finance Director of Halfords Group PLC until November 30, 2010. He served as Business Development Director of Halfords Limited, a subsidiary of Halfords Group PLC since 2003 and also served as its Human Resource Director. He served as Finance & Business Systems Director at Halfords Group PLC since February 2007. He served as an Acting Joint Managing Director of Halfords Group PLC from March 2008 to August 4, 2008. He joined Halfords as Finance and Planning Director in March 2002 combining day-to-day management of the finance and property functions with driving the separation of it from its former owner, Boots Company. Prior to this, he served in senior finance positions at Boots Opticians, Boots Healthcare International, Do-it-All Limited and Cadbury Schweppes.
Nick has been Director of Mothercare plc since November 14, 2013. He serves as an Executive Director of Dunelm Group plc and previously served as Non Executive Director since August 2009. He served as a Director of Halfords Group PLC until November 30, 2010. Mr. Wharton is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
